Starting at 12:00AM EST on January 16, 2025, through 11:59PM EST on June 30, 2025 (“Campaign Period”), a $50 bonus (the “Bonus”) will be awarded to existing Laurel Road members (“Referrer”) for each friend who opens a new Laurel Road High Yield Savings (HYS) account (the “Referred”) and meets the following requirements, the Referred must: 1) submit the HYS account application through the Referrer’s link during the Campaign Period, 2) have a minimum HYS account balance of at least $1 by 7PM EST within the first twenty (20) calendar days of account opening, and 3) have a minimum balance of $5,000 by 11:59PM EST on the ninetieth (90th) calendar day of HYS account opening for Referrer to earn the Bonus. Starting at 12:00AM EST on October 23, 2024, through 11:59PM EST on February 19, 2025 (the “Campaign Period”), a $100 “Referrer Bonus” will be awarded to Laurel Road members (the “Referrer”) for each friend or family member they refer (the “Referred”) who successfully meets all the Requirements (defined below). The Referred can also earn a $50 “Referred Bonus” when they meet all of the Requirements. The Requirements are that the Referred must (1) request and complete a Public Service Loan Forgiveness (“PSLF”) or Income Driven Repayment (“IDR”) consultation through the Referrer’s link by February 19, 2025, and (2) sign up and complete payment for either a PSLF or IDR Counseling Membership by March 31, 2025. Laurel Road Referral Program Rules
Program Overview
Laurel Road, a brand of KeyBank National Association, offers a Referral Program where existing members (“Referrer”) can refer friends or family members (“Referred”) to apply for various eligible Laurel Road products, which may include High Yield Savings accounts, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) or Income Driven Repayment (IDR) memberships, student loan refinancing, and personal loans. Qualified referrals may result in bonus payments to the Referrer and/or Referred as described below. All participation is subject to the specific terms and conditions provided within these Program Rules. Additional product-specific terms and conditions can be found on the refer-a-friend landing page of each eligible product.
Program Overview
- Referrer must have a login credential for Laurel Road’s Online Banking to participate.

Referred individuals cannot be the owner or co-owner of a Laurel Road account in the last twelve (12) months.

Referrals can only be made during designated "Campaign Periods" and must use the Referrer's unique referral link to complete the application.

Referred individuals may only be referred by one Referrer, and referrals are only valid if submitted through the designated Laurel Road website.

Employees of KeyBank National Association and its affiliates are not eligible to receive a bonus in the Referral Program.

Referral Program Rules
- Referrers may not solicit applications or consultants and agree not to offer compensation to Referred individuals in connection with referrals.

Bulk distribution or promotion of a referral link by means of automated system, scrip, or macro, or through any manner that would constitute or appear to constitute unsolicited telemarketing, commercial email, or spam (in Laurel Road’s sole discretion) is expressly prohibited and may be grounds for immediate termination of the Referrer’s account, deactivation of the referral link, and disqualification from the Referral Program.

Referrer may only receive up to four thousand ($4,000) U.S. dollars in bonuses per calendar year for all qualifying Laurel Road Refer-a-Friend product referrals.

The Referral Program cannot be combined with any other bonus programs unless explicitly stated.

Laurel Road cannot distribute referral information between the Referred and Referrer.

By participating, each Referrer agrees to only share their personal referral link with family and friends.

By participating in the Referral Program, individuals agree to adhere to the general and product specific terms and conditions. Laurel Road reserves the right to disqualify any individual from participation in the Referral Program if you do not comply with any of these Program Rules or, at its sole discretion, at any time without notice.

Each Referrer is responsible for complying with any applicable laws including federal, state, or local telemarketing or anti-spam laws when distributing their referral link.
Bonus Payment and Verification
- All bonuses for the Referral Program are subject to verification. Laurel Road, in its sole discretion, may delay payment of a bonus for the purposes of investigation and refuse to process any bonus deemed to be fraudulent, suspicious, or in violation of these Referral Program terms and conditions.

Payments are issued upon successful completion of referral requirements.

The bonus will be paid within sixty (60) business days after meeting all campaign bonus requirements.

To receive a bonus payment, Referrers consent to use of their information provided on their application(s) including, but not limited to, their legal name, address, and social security number. If Laurel Road does not have this information, Laurel Road will reach out to the individual to obtain it, and no bonus payment will be made until Laurel Road receives this information.

Bonuses are paid to the Referrer based on their payment preferences set in Laurel Road’s Online Banking platform in the Refer-a-Friend page. Bonuses are sent by check to the address on file for the Referrer. No payments will be made to third parties outside the Referrer and Referred.

Receipt of a bonus may result in miscellaneous income, and we may issue and file a Form 1099-MISC (Miscellaneous Income) with the IRS. You are responsible for any tax liability associated with participating in the partnership bonus program. Please consult a tax advisor if you have any questions.
Special Campaigns
- Unless explicitly stated, offers under this Referral Program cannot be combined with other offers or discounts.
Modification Rights
Laurel Road reserves the right to modify or amend these terms and conditions and/or the Referral Program, including the termination of said program at any time, for any reason without notice. Laurel Road is not responsible for, and will not honor, promotional offers that appear on third-party websites that are not authorized by Laurel Road.
High Yield Saving (HYS) Specific
Qualifying Referrals
To qualify, a referral must meet the following product specific conditions: For High Yield Savings Referrals:
- The Referral Program eligibility is available only during the “Campaign Period” and while the HYS accounts of the Referred are open and not restricted, any referrals prior to the “Campaign Period” or on closed accounts are not eligible.
- To receive a bonus payment, Referrers consent to use of their information provided on the HYS application including, but not limited to, their legal name, address and social security number. Bonus payment cannot be completed without such information. No third parties outside of the Referrer and the Referred may receive payments.
- The Referred must have a minimum HYS account balance of at least $1 by 7:00PM ET within the first twenty (20) calendar days after account opening to qualify for bonus payment(s). Referred bonus amounts are based on HYS account balance at 11:59 PM ET on ninetieth (90th) calendar day after account opening. See funds availability policy for more details on deposit information. If days twenty (20) or ninety (90) mentioned above are non-business days, Laurel Road will use the account balance from the next business day. Referred’ s HYS account cannot be closed or restricted by ninetieth (90th) day of account opening. The Referral Program bonus amount is determined as follows:

- HYS accounts not funded within the first ninety (90) days of account opening will automatically be closed and Referred will be ineligible for future refer-a-friend campaigns.
Payment of Rewards
- The bonus will be paid to the Referrer within sixty (60) days of the Referred’ s HYS account meeting all bonus requirements.
Student Loan Refinancing Specific
- Bonuses will be paid within sixty (60) business days of the Referred’s loan closing. Note, limit one Referred Bonus per Referred, regardless of when or how many loans are refinanced.
- Referrals made after the loan has closed are ineligible for the Bonus.
Personal Loan Specific
- Bonuses will be paid within sixty (60) business days of the Referred loan closing. Note, limit one Referral Bonus per Referred, regardless of when or how many loans closed.
