Chirag Shah is an anesthesiologist at the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago. His focus is working on surgical procedures for veterans and implementing an acute pain program to reduce dependence on opioids.
Chirag graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Chicago. He later went on to complete a regional/acute pain fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago.
Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, Chirag worked as an investment banker for Piper Jaffray in New York City. Chirag participated in numerous initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt offerings.
Chirag earned a BA in Economics and a Minor in Business Development from Northwestern University. He resides in Chicago with his wife and two kids.
